Your Vertu phone an internal antenna. As with any other radio transmitting device, do not touch the antenna unnecessarily when the phone is switched on. Some models have an additional retractable antenna. When using the retractable antenna, extend it fully and avoid unnecessary contact. Contact with the antenna affects call quality and may cause the phone to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed. Avoiding contact with the antenna during a call optimises the antenna performance and the talk time of your Vertu phone. Your Vertu phone and its accessories may contain small parts. Keep them out of reach of small children. For full safety instructions refer to “Safety information” on page 7-5.

NETWORK SERVICES To use the phone you must have service from a wireless service provider. Many of the features in your Vertu phone depend on features in the wireless network to function. These Network Services may not be available on all networks or you may have to make specific arrangements with your service provider before you can utilise Network Services. Your service provider may need to give you additional instructions for their use and explain what charges will apply. Some networks may have limitations that affect how you can use Network Services. For instance, some networks may not support all languagedependent characters and services. Your service provider may have also requested that certain features be disabled or not activated in your Vertu phone. If so, they will not appear on your menus. Contact your service provider for more information. SHARED MEMORY Some of the data features in your Vertu phone share memory. Using one or more of these features may reduce the memory available for the remaining features sharing memory. For example, saving many hundreds of phone book entries may use all of the available memory. Your phone may display a message that the memory is full when you try to use a shared memory feature. In this case, delete some of the information or entries stored in the shared memory features before continuing. Some of the features, such as the directory, have a certain amount of memory specially allotted to them in addition to the amount of memory shared with other features.

Antivirus Protection for iPhones pdf

Antivirus Protection for iPhones pdf

Security company BitDefender rolled out a new virus definition for its antivirus technology in order to discover the malicious files used by attackers to exploit the reported vulnerabilities in Apple’s iPhones. In case you missed the news, it was said that an attacker can use a dangerous TIFF file in order to exploit the flaws from iPhone’s Safari browser. What’s most interesting is that the security holes where then used by the iPhone owners to unlock their devices and remove the restrictions applied by the Cupertino company. This way, they would be able to install any software they want without any limitation.

BitDefender reported that the flaw affects only the version 1.1.1 of the Apple iPhone firmware. Because the consumers would be able to install anything they like, they all need an antivirus technology able to defend their device against viruses and other types of malicious files which might harm their handheld. That’s why BitDefender decided to implement iPhone support into their antivirus technology which would offer the protection mentioned above.

The Race to Unlock the iPhone pdf review

The Race to Unlock the iPhone pdf review

The iPhone is a prime target for hackers, crackers and modders, not only because of the underlying power of the little handheld, but also because of all the features that users would simply love to see on it. The Apple TV was a popular little gadget for this crowd, but it looks like the iPhone is a much juicier target, but despite this, nobody is making much headway.

There are a lot of things that people want to be able to do with their iPhone. From using Flash and Java, to instant messaging applications or simply the ability to use the device outside of the AT&T network, there are a hundred reasons to break an iPhone. Unlike the case of the Apple TV or any other device, an unlocked iPhone appeals not only to the hardcore tweaker, but also to the average person that doesn’t know hexa from a firmware update. The iPhone could prove to be very lucrative for the individuals that finally manage to bend it to their will, as such a device that…

Preparation
First of all please make sure your Apple iPhone is updated to the latest firmware (1.02)
To confirm that you have this firmware you can check by going Settings -> General -> About

Your Modem Firmware should say 03.14.08_G
Your phone also needs to be jailbroken before you can gain write access to upload the needed software to it.
You can use iBrickr this seems to be the easiest (Windows) method so it will be used in this example of unlocking.

Setting up the Software
In iBrickr install the application install.app by clicking Applications then selecting the newest version of Installer. Now on your iPhone you will see a new icon Called Installer, clicking and install the following needed software.

First Free iPhone Unlock Software Kneels iPhoneSIMfree pdf

First Free iPhone Unlock Software Kneels iPhoneSIMfree Who will want to pay for unlocking their iPhone now? iUnlock has just released the first free, open source iPhone SIM unlock software. This came just a few days after iPhoneSIMfree started providing their solution to resellers under a specific charge.

The iPhone’s price combined with the high data plans that AT&T has brought for the customers who bought Apple’s phone from them have made good enough reasons to try to break free of these constrains. iPhoneSIMfree was the first company to sell its solution for perfectly unlocking the device, although it decided to offer it to resellers and not directly to customers.

They took their time in providing this service, as legal issues needed to be solved, in order to make sure that the company could not be attacked by AT&T or Apple. This meant that their shipments started a bit later than previously expected, probably too late, as iUnlock had enough time to develop their own solution. What iPhoneSIMfree feared most, their new direct competitor, iUnlock will be offering their solution…

How to install AppTapp 3.0 beta into iPhone 1.1.1 in 50 meticulous steps without any command-line. For AT&T, MacIntel, OS X 10.4.10, iTunes 7.4.2, iPhone 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 firmware users only.

Notes and Warnings
1. Do not install both Trip1PogoStick and SummerBoard on 1.1.1 - you’ll get startup freeze (stuck on Apple logo), especially if you’ve used previous 1.1.1. upgrade methods, including iNdepenence 1.2.2. and/or Trip1Prepz. We made this mistake and that’s what inspired us to start fresh and document every step for you. Use iTunes to restore to a fresh 1.1.1 state if this occurs.

2. Do not install the 1.1.1 tweaks with SummerBoard. They are not compatible SummerBoard and Customize and will screw up your Springboard forcing to to restore to 1.1.1 and then start the 50 step process all over again. We attempted this and ended up with a blank Springboard, no icons, and no phone functionality. The closest we’ve come to a brick, yet, in all our of hacking tests.

3. Do not follow any of these steps and discard this document immediately if you are not prepared to void your warranty and any obligation of Apple or AT&…

After getting their hands on what was said to be an official list of iPhone specifications and requirements, the people over at Mac Rumors have posted scans of what they say is the iPhone training manual. The manual, details iPhone features, benefits tips, comparisons qualifying questions and objections will be needed by the people selling the iPhone. While definitely a tall claim, considering that nobody has managed to get their hands on any significant information about the device, the scans nevertheless seem very elaborate for a fake. Things such as qualifying questions and possible customer objections as well the layout and design of the manual make this an incredibly well done fake, if indeed it is a fake.

Here are some of the features of the iPhone listed in the manual:
Revolutionary Mobile Phone
- Dial any telephone number with the touch of a finger

- If you choose to answer the call, the video will pause and resume once the call ends
