MCP747 HARDWARE UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) INSTALLATION MANUAL

The Aerosoft Australia MCP747 can use either a RS232 serial port or Universal Serial Bus, also known as a USB port. If you choose to use the USB port with our MCP, you will need to perform a once-only software installation. This manual describes the steps required to set up your MCP for use with a USB port.

The MCP uses a 5-volt DC power source that has been supplied to you, along with a power cable suitable for your country. The power adapter is a universal power supply that can accept any voltage from 110 to 240 volts. Connect the power supply to your wall socket, and connect the output from the power supply to the rear of the MCP. The MCP does not use a power switch and it will power up immediately. The front panel display will illuminate with the value 200 in the IAS/MACH window, 000 in the HDG window and 10000 in the ALT window.

Step 1 - Plugging In
Make sure the power is connected to the MCP. When you connect the USB cable to the back of the MCP for the first time your PC should detect it. If you do not see this screen, it means that either the MCP USB software has already been installed, in which case you can use your MCP normally.
Step 2 - Driver Disk
Once the USB cable has been connected to the MCP you will be prompted to insert an Aerosoft Drivers Disk
