Freezone Elite CPU Cooler Installation Guide

Included with your Freezone Elite system is everything pictured below. Before you start the Installation, please take a moment to verify that you have all the parts necessary to complete the installation.

Open PC Case.
Please follow the recommended manufacturer instructions to open your PC Case. (Figure 2)
For the rest of the installation procedure, it is recommended to lay your PC on its side. First, carefully remove the CPU heat sink/fan assembly. (Figure 3) Next, remove the exhaust fan from the rear of the case as shown in (Figures 4 and 5)

Installing the Fluid Heat Exchanger (FHE)
There are 2 different types of retention mechanisms included with your Freezone Elite system. Now is the time to take note of which type you will use for your system and follow the appropriate instructions. For Intel Socket 775 or AMD AM2 Based Systems
Remove heat sink retention bracket from motherboard. (Figure 6) Clean Thermal Compound from CPU Cap using a paper towel or a clean cloth. (Figure 7)
LGA 775 motherboards must be removed to install the hardware. Install standoffs [Part K] into the holes from which you removed the old heat sink retention frame. Ensure you place one of the provided nylon washers between each stand-off and the mother board, align the stand-off with the motherboard hole, place another nylon washer on the provided fastener before threading it into the standoff from the underside of the motherboard. Tighten with the appropriate Phillips screwdriver.
