Laptop Connect from Cingular Wireless allows you to free your laptop from wired connections. With this solution you can wirelessly access the Internet, personal and business e-mail, and attachments, as well as your company‘s intranet and business applications – all while on the go!

This Installation and User Guide will lead you through the four-step process to get your Laptop Connect solution up and running. This Guide also provides assistance in how to configure Communication Manager software, use a VPN with Laptop Connect, and update your PC card modem firmware in addition to providing some troubleshooting tips.
Laptop Connect Overview
Laptop Connect is Cingular‘s laptop mobility solution that uses a compatible PC card modem, data-capable handset, or Wi-Fi-enabled laptop, along with Communication Manager software and the appropriate Data Connect rate plan to provide wireless data access through Cingular‘s Broadband Connect and EDGE networks.*
