MobileSitter User’s Manual

With this MobileSitter software you can have all your passwords, PINs, and TANs readily available on your mobile phone. The MobileSitter protects your securely deposited data in a special way.
If your device should ever get into the hands of unauthorized persons, they will will be frustrated by any attempt to get hold of your securely deposited secrets. The MobileSitter makes unauthorized persons attempting to gain access to your secrets believe that they have achieved their aim, even if the master password they have entered was incorrect. Thus, intruders cannot tell if they were successful or not. Your questions and suggestions about the MobileSitter are welcome at any time; please send them to the address info@mobilesitter.de. We hope that the MobileSitter will successfully support you in managing your passwords, PINs, and TANs.

First of all, you need a device supporting Java ME. Some manufacturers call this J2ME. Secondly, the device on which you want to install the MobileSitter should support the standards CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0 (or higher), and JSR 75. Thirdly, the display of your mobile device should have a width of at least 160 pixels.

The following three files are needed for an installation of the MobileSitter:
• the file mobilesitter.jar (for Blackberry devices this file is named mobilesitter.cod)
• the file mobilesitter.jad (for Blackberry devices this file is named mobilesitter.alx)
• a license file with the file type ending “.xml”, such as licence a45dx1cj7h.xml

The license file is a file generated for you personally. License files for different users have different file names. If you have acquired the software licenses directly from the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, you can download the three files listed above from the MobileSitter shop under http://www.mobilesitter.de. Otherwise, you obtain the files from a distribution partner of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
