HP Server Console Switch Support on AlphaServer Systems Overview
This document contains the release notes for the HP server console switch as used on HP AlphaServer systems running the Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS operating systems with a PS2 keyboard and mouse.
The HP Server Console Switch, 1×8 (8-port) model (P/N 336044-B21), is supported for Alpha systems using PS2 mouse and keyboard with VGA video. This includes support for the PS2 Interface Adapter (P/N 262588-B21) required for operation.
Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS Supported
Support is given for systems using the HP Tru64 Unix, version 5.1A or higher, operating system and the OpenVMS, version 7.3-2 or higher, operating system with TIMA kits. Systems using the Linux operating systems have not been tested and are not supported.
Support for 1×8, 8-port Switch Only
Only the 1×8 (8-port) model (P/N 336044-B21) of the HP Server Console Switch has been tested and is supported for AlphaServer systems
