Observer Computer Room Monitoring System User Manual
BTI Computer Systems have been at the forefront of remote maintenance techniques for more than 30 years. As a direct result of experience gained during that time, it was evident that the most important factor in reducing Customer downtime is in the rapid communication of the problem to the correct personnel. The Observer, with its range of sensor inputs and monitor functions is designed to alert both local and remote staff of a problem within minutes of its detection.
The system consists of :-
- The Observer unit
- PC or host computer
- Observer for Windows software to run on the PC
Various sensors - configured to Customer requirements. Sensors can be digital (switch contacts, smoke, movement etc.), analogue (temperature, humidity etc.) or serial (RS232 Watchdog ports). Standard BTI sensors for temperature, humidity, sound and smoke are available in any combination as ceiling mounted modules. Critical equipment, such as the Customers computer systems, UPS equipment and other monitoring systems themselves, may be checked by Watchdogs to ensure that they are operational.
