BBSmart Shortcuts is a fantastically simple but powerful productivity application for the BlackBerry that puts a whole suite of shortcuts at your fingertips. Using BBSmart Shortcuts you can create shortcuts to native applications, third-party applications, websites, and common tasks like emailing, calling, and SMS’ing contacts. When set to run from a convenience key press on your BlackBerry, BBSmart Shortcuts will open the door to a whole new way of using your BlackBerry – one that is quicker, more convenient, and more productive.
Will this application run on my BlackBerry?
BBSmart Shortcuts will work on all BlackBerry models running an Operating System (OS) version of 4.2 or higher. To find the OS version of your BlackBerry, go to Options – About. Your OS version will be listed on the third line as illustrated below.
TRIAL & ACTIVATION
What is the difference between the trial and full version?
The only difference between trial and full version is that the trial version will only last for 10 days. Otherwise, all the functionality is the same for both versions. I downloaded the trial version and used the registration key. Does that now become the full version or do I need to download the full version? You do not need to download the full version. The registration key simply removes the time restriction of the trial version (therefore becoming the full version).
How do I register BBSmart Shortcuts?
If you have downloaded a trial version, there will be a “Buy/Register” option available from the menu. Alternatively, once your trial runs out, you will then be prompted to enter your registration key to continue use of the software. If you have purchased the full copy, you will be prompted to enter your registration key upon installation.
Help! My registration key is not working?
The registration key for BBSmart Shortcuts is based on your device PIN. If you did not enter your device PIN during the purchase (or entered an incorrect PIN) your registration key will not work. Please email us at support@blackberrysmart.com with your correct PIN (and also your order number) and we will be able to generate a working registration key for you.
To find your PIN, from the BlackBerry Home screen go to Options – Status. Then, scroll down and highlight the PIN field and select “Copy PIN” from the menu and paste this in to an email for us (copying the PIN will avoid spelling errors).
How do I uninstall BBSmart Shortcuts?
We hope you should never have to do this! But if you do, the simplest way is to go to Options – Advanced Options – Applications and scroll down and highlight
“Shortcuts”. Bring up the menu and select “Delete” and when prompted, restart your BlackBerry. Alternatively, you can uninstall BBSmart Shortcuts using the Desktop Manager Software on your PC.
