We highly recommend using a flat blade nylon tool for this step to avoid scratching your casing. Starting in the corner nearest the firewire port, pry up with your flat tool at the spot where the metal and white plastic meet. You may need to work your tool into the groove a bit and then pry up. The white plastic will then lift up slightly.
